Music Clients
Clients represented in music will use additional descriptors that allow agents to more easily book these clients into potential opportunities. These descriptors, such as music genres, help match music clients to buyers that are looking for particular music styles,
There are three types of descriptors currently modeled:
Music Genre. These are specific style(s) of music that describe the music performed by the client
Set Type. These are variations in the type of performance done by the client
Performance Language. These are the languages in the lyrics used by the artist in the music they perform.
Music Genre
Music Clients. Individual music clients can perform music in one or more genres. In the example below, the artist Bonobo is represented within music and performs within the Trip Hop and Electronica subgenres of Electonic music.
Event Series. In addition, an :EventSeries can also have genres applied to it. For example, an event series representing EDC Las Vegas could be connected to multiple electronic genres:
Set Type
Set Type describes the type of performance done by a music client. This is distinct from a music genre and is instead an additional descriptor of the type of performance that a specific music client can perform. In the example below, the artist Bonobo can be listed as being able to perform a DJ Set in addition to his usual set which uses hardware instruments.
Performance Language
A Performance Language specifies that language in which a music client can perform. This is different than a language that a client speaks, as an English-speaking client may know French but does not perform in French. In the example below, Rosalîa performs in both Spanish and Catalan.
Combining Music Descriptors
It is possible to combine all three types of descriptors to get a full view of a client. In the example below, the group Ozomatli performs in the Hip-Hop and Funk genres, can perform in both English and Spanish, and can perform an acoustic set as well.
